India trade deficit in July widens to $27.35 billion
NEW DELHI, Aug 14 (Reuters) - India's merchandise trade deficit (INTRD=ECI), opens new tab in July stood at $27.35 billion, according to a Reuters calculations based on export and import data released by the government on Thursday. Economists had expected the July trade deficit to be $20.35 billion, per a Reuters poll, compared to $18.78 billion in the previous month.

Canada's Goods Trade Deficit Widens on Machinery Imports

The country's trade shortfall with the world widened to C$5.9 billion ($4.3 billion) in June, from C$5.5 billion in May, according to Statistics Canada data Tuesday. That's slightly lower than the median projection of a C$6.3 billion deficit in a Bloomberg survey of economists.
